Do you have guests traveling to attend your celebration? Consider a room block!
With so many fun things happening around the year in Central Texas, we always recommend a room block for clients with out-of-town guests! Typically, room blocks are offered with a minimum of 10 bookings. Many hotels will offer a flat, discounted rate for your guests throughout their stay.
* Complimentary Block vs. Attrition Block
With a complimentary block, guests are provided a booking link or promo code to reserve their rooms by a certain deadline. After the deadline expires, any held rooms are released to the general public and guests can continue to book at the hotel if available at the going rate. If you have a room block with attrition, after the deadline expires, you are financially responsible for a portion of any un-booked rooms within your block.
Ask about charges for services to drop welcome bags or notes in your guests rooms, usually a cost per room.
If you are providing transportation, ask the hotel where the bus should park and let your guests know. Some hotels will have large busses park around the corner or in the back, etc.
